Conditions in the mountains can feel very different from those in Palma or a coastal town. The Government of the Balearic Islands identifies April as one of the months with the most intense migration activity, making it an interesting place to visit even if you have never been birdwatching before.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You do not need any knowledge of ornithology to explore its paths and observation hides, although binoculars will help.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Admission is currently free, but you need a permit, which you can request when you arrive at the Information Centre. As opening hours and access conditions may change, always check the park\u2019s official information before travelling there.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This kind of outing also shows why a spring trip should not be reduced to the question of whether it will be warm enough to swim. If the morning is clear, you may prefer a walking route or the coast; if conditions look less settled, you can swap the mountains for Palma or one of the island\u2019s many lovely villages.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before setting off, check the opening hours of anything you particularly want to visit.
