Why is Mallorca worth in May

Mallorca in May is a good alternative if you want to visit the island of Mallorca. The season has just started and the accommodations are not yet full.

In May, all restaurants and attractions are already open and it starts to get hot. This heat is not comparable to that in July or August, and therefore May is ideal for a vacation in Mallorca with children.

There are many reasons to visit the island in this month and here we show them.

Weather in Mallorca in May

In the month of May, spring shows its best side on the island of Mallorca, making it a really pleasant time for a relaxing vacation. Temperatures rise steadily, with an average of fifteen to sixteen degrees Celsius at the beginning of the month and eighteen to twenty degrees Celsius at the end of May. The maximum temperatures can range from 22 degrees to 25 degrees. Sometimes higher temperatures are recorded and it can rain for days. The lowest temperatures are between ten and fourteen degrees. There are usually no lower temperatures or cold spells during this month

The water temperature averages eighteen degrees; although it is cool, we can take a dip in the sea.

As mentioned earlier, May is not a rainy month, but there is a 30% chance of rain during this month.

As for the hours of daylight, there are about twelve hours per day in May.

During the day, you can wear light clothes like T-shirts or shorts, and at night you can wear long-sleeved clothes or a short or thin jacket.

 

Where to go in Mallorca in May

The most charming landscapes and beaches are located in the center of the island towards the north. A good way to enjoy the landscape is to go from Playa de Son Bauló in Can Picafort to Playa de Son Serra de Marina through the park of Son Real. The distance between the beaches of Son Bauló and Son Serra is 7 km.

Cala Mesquida

Deiá

Palma de Mallorca is very attractive. In May, the cathedral is really beautiful and deserves an extensive visit. Also, a few meters away there are buildings of great architectural value with beautiful courtyards.
